3+ years’ experience with Government of Canada CISD security process.
- Must possess (or be able to obtain and maintain) a valid Government of Canada security clearance at the level of Secret.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences and all levels of the organization, both verbally and through written communications.

Key job responsibilities
- Fulfill the role of lead Alternate Security Officer (ACSO), providing direct support to Company Security Officer (CSO) in executing responsibilities related to security clearance processing and the Industrial Security Program.
- Process personnel security clearances, conduct security briefings, and maintain a comprehensive registry.
- Generate regular reports to capture metrics and trends.
- Maintain a meticulous tracking system for all existing visits, both in progress and approved
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Out of Country verification's, with a comprehensive awareness of Canada's diverse demographic
- Collaborate with the CSO in preparing documentation supporting Facility Security Clearance (FSC) and Document Safeguarding Capability (DSC).
- Conduct a thorough review of security requirements outlined in the contract security requirements checklist (SRCL) or contract security clauses, ensuring adherence to all requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Contract Security Program (CSP).
- Demonstrate self-discipline through regular self-auditing of files and mechanisms
- Act as a liaison between the company and the CSP, as well as various other security agencies.
- Ensure proper handling, safeguarding, and access measures for information and assets in accordance with CSP guidelines.
- Assist with Federal Government inspections as required, collaborating closely with project teams
- Initiate sponsorship and support of sub trades into the CSP

- Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree or equivalent experience
- Completion of any required Company Security Officer (CSO) certifications and training.
- Possesses robust analytical skills with a proven track record of enhancing processes to optimize efficiency. Demonstrates the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Exhibits a keen ability to identify opportunities for operational excellence and process improvement, taking proactive steps to implement necessary changes.
