**About the Job**:
Communications Security Establishment (CSE) is Canada’s national cryptologic agency. Unique within Canada’s security and intelligence community, we employ code-makers, codebreakers, and secure system creators to provide the Government of Canada with foreign signals intelligence (SIGINT), as well as cyber security services (Canadian Centre for Cyber Security). CSE is the national hub for cyber operations to protect Canada and advance national interests. We provide technical and operational assistance to federal law enforcement and security agencies.

CSE is currently looking for Personnel Security Specialists to work in a dynamic and innovative operational security environment. As a Personnel Security Specialist at CSE, you will be working independently in a team environment to conduct in-depth security interviews. You will be based at CSE in the National Capital region and may be required to travel to major Canadian cities between 1 to 5 times per year. The screening activities you will perform will help support the continued growth of the organization as well as assist in the maintenance of a secure environment for all CSE Missions.

**Salary Range**:

- UNI-07 level: $83,055 - $97,710 per year (under review)
- UNI-08 level: $88,645 - $104,288 per year (under review)

**Location**:
All jobs are in Ottawa, Ontario. This selection process will be used to staff positions within the Edward Drake Building (1929 Ogilvie Road) and/or Vanier building (1625 Vanier Parkway). CSE locations meet current accessibility standards.

**Education**:
You must have either one of the following:

- A College diploma or university degree in a field related to the position such as (but not limited to): criminology, police foundations, law, teaching, journalism, social work, behavioural sciences, psychology, political sciences, criminal justice, international relations, history, etc.
- An acceptable combination of education and experience relevant to the position (such as but not limited to personnel security screening and investigations).

The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials.

**Experience**:

- Significant* experience in routinely interacting with a diverse and broad audience including, but not limited to, conducting interviews, eliciting information, or holding formal meetings with the intention of acquiring information.
- Recent** experience in researching and analyzing diverse information to formulate clear and concise recommendations.
- Recent** experience in drafting complex and detailed reports.
- Experience in critical thinking, judgement, and reasoning to solve analytic problems.
- Experience providing advice, guidance, or briefings on complex situations and recommending a course of action to clients, peers, or management.
- Experience organizing and managing personal workload while ensuring proper follow-ups are actioned and deadlines met.
- For the purposes of this selection process ‘’significant’’ is defined as a minimum of 2 years.
