**About the role**

We have a unique opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to join our People, Culture and Infrastructure team as a People Operations Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for payroll and benefit administration. You will also help be the contact for HR administration and People related data management and support from recruitment to ongoing employee administration.

**Location: Remote in Canada**

**Positions Available: 1**

**10-12 Month Contract/Temp Position
**The People Operations Specialist will support will play a critical role in executing our people and culture initiatives and driving excellence and process improvement.

**What you will be doing**:
**Payroll Administration**
- Prepare and administer the monthly payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner
- Liase with payroll service provider to enable accurate, timely processing of payroll as well as for support if needed
- Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits and serve as the primary payroll contact for CRA/Service Canada and WSIB
- Process ROEs as required
- Prepare and file the annual EHT return and monthly WSIB return in a timely manner
- Ensure T4s and year-end adjustments are prepared with accuracy and in a timely manner
- Ensure data integrity by running, reviewing and analyzing payroll information by proactively resolving errors and warnings within the appropriate payroll deadlines
- Provide assistance to employees regarding payroll inquiries when needed, including preparing employment verification letters
- Perform other payroll duties as required

**Benefits Administration and HR Support**
- Work closely with the HR Business Partners to support all HR Programs and Processes
- Monitor and assist in maintaining HRIS system
- Workl closely with our Infrastructure and Experience Lead to support the implementation of a new HRIS and Payroll system
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding processes
- Assist with benefits administration process and maintain a working knowledge of the company's benefits plans.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating training & development initiatives
- Coordination and support of our Health and Safety Program

**Data & Process Management**
- Manage and understand people data, and develop systems to manage and organize data in a way that is useful to the company
- Develop and document our internal processes and find ways to simplify as much as possible
- Support the collection and analysis of Health and Safety data and other data as required

**What you bring to the table**:

- Have 2-3 years payroll experience and 1-3 years Human Resources Experience
- Are self-driven and able to prioritize work using business strategy
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Tools (excel, outlook, sharepoint, teams)
- Able to organize and interpret people data using our People Tools
- Excellent data management and analysis skills
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
