**WHO YOU MIGHT BE**:
Our core finishing team is professional, dedicated, and knowledgeable. You will be encouraged to bring your technique, organizational skills, and focus; a sense of humour helps too Working with the core finishing team, you will be responsible for light sanding of parts and finishing for our cabinetry. This position is physical and at times fast paced, there will be elements of repetitive tasks, light to moderate lifting, and working as a group towards completion deadlines; together everyone wins. Cardinal does all our finishing in house and by hand. We utilize water-based paints, reducing our impact on the environment and believe this is also a responsible choice for our team members and clients. **JOB DUTIES**:

- Train with the Team Leader to learn and understand Cardinal’s finishing process
- Finishing Preparation
- Spraying of water based finishes
- Cleaning/maintaining spray equipment including all spray guns, tips and lines
- Use hand and pneumatic tools for finishing, sanding, and spraying
- Inspect you own work and report any defects to the Team Leader to ensure consistent quality controls
- Be a proactive contributor by assisting other team members in your department with lifting or maneuvering any large/awkward pieces
- Awareness of the demands of production and how your role integrates into the manufacturing process
- Maintain a positive work ethic and attitude that supports collaboration of ideas and skills within the team
- Ensure that a safe and productive work environment is maintained and to act within safety guidelines of CFC
- Understand and follow all CFC policies and procedures

**QUALIFICATION & SKILLS**
- Possess the ability to work in an industrial manufacturing facility
- Possess previous experience with water based finishing techniques using paints, stains, glazes
- Possess a good eye for detail and colour, with a strong colour matching ability and colour palette understanding
- Working independently in a team of like minded individuals striving for excellence and personal growth in both skills and pride of work.
- Communication skills that demonstrate respect for self and other team members
- A teachable attitude and an eagerness to learn
- Detail-oriented and work with a high degree of workmanship and accuracy
- Effective time and priority management
- Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and ensure quality and timely completion of projects

**ENVIRONMENT**
- Casual dress environment
- Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4PM
- Booth/finishing area are to be kept clean and organized. Team members do an end of week deep clean to start to following week out on the right foot.
- The finishing department is positioned closely to key members of sanding, service and scheduling. This allows for consistent work flow and collective discussion about production deadlines.
- Cardinal is a comfortable family like environment with a diversity of age ranges, personalities and loyal team members who have dedicated careers spanning 40+ years here
- Located on Exeter Rd. this location has limited public transit (LTC) and a reliable source of transportation is recommended.
