Who you might be:
The Millwork Sander is a key participant in creating the outstanding finish integral to Cardinal’s high level of design. Sanding doors, mouldings, custom hoods, and mantles will be part of your skill development and repertoire. This position will ensure the highest quality of manufactured product to maintain the level of customer satisfaction that Cardinal Fine Cabinetry (CFC) clients have come to expect.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Working in our clean and organized shop environment at professional down draft tables using air powered & hand sanding tools.
- Prep all cabinet parts (doors, trim, gables, mouldings and custom parts) for finishing **Cardinal works exclusively with water-based finishes.
- Flexibility in working with both veneers, solid wood and wood composite materials
- Working independently in a team of like minded individuals striving for excellence and personal growth in both skills and pride of trade.
- Collaborate with fellow team members when reviewing sanding process’ and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- Ability to singularly lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) safely
- Be a proactive contributor by assisting other team members in your department with lifting or maneuvering large/awkward pieces (i.e. Hoods, Mantles)
- Work on all assigned projects in a timely fashion that coincides with the company’s delivery schedules
- Inspect product for quality control assurances and report any and all defects in material and machining practices to your Team Leader
- Assume an active role in monitoring department machinery and alerting Team Leader or General Manager when maintenance is required
- Maintain a positive work ethic and attitude that supports collaboration of ideas and skills within the team
- Ensure that a safe and productive work environment is maintained and to act within safety guidelines of CFC
- Understand and follow all CFC policies and procedures
