**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with several enzyme and receptor targets and establish key readouts of cellular activity.
- Provide laboratory leadership with biochemical assays and testing of key compounds and biologics.
- Initiate and design of key biochemical and cellular assays that are based on principles of enzymology and GPCR pharmacology.
- Analyze and interpret data to develop new hypotheses.
- Monitor and evaluate completion of tasks and drive projects to decision points.
- Proactively investigate new or different technologies to establish cellular relevant readouts of activity.
- Present data and programs to management and external stakeholders.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- MSc/PHD and post doc in Biochemistry with significant hands-on experience in cellular biology.
- Experience in establishing biochemical assays such as FRET assays, absorbance assays, ELISas and potentially ion channel readouts.
- >3 yrs post graduate work in biochemistry and cell biology
- Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, independent thought, and ability to effectively collaborate with others with multiple scientific disciplines.
- Ability and willingness to lead from the bench.
