How We Work

As a Chief of Staff, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing:

- Workspace in Victoria, B.C. office
- Company-issued equipment + remote access

Role Responsibilities
- Execute upon the strategic and operational directives set by the Managing Director (MD), essentially providing executional capacity and operational leverage.
- Leverage real-world experience to help guide the business through growth phases.
- Guide operational and administrative teams, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
- Utilize a data-driven approach for strategic analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Design and implement processes, workflows, and communication strategies to enhance organizational clarity and ensure stakeholder engagement.
- Serve as a key liaison between the MD and other executives, employees, and external partners, ensuring alignment and coordination.
- Manage special projects, aligning them with the company’s strategic objectives and operational goals.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents for internal and external communication.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain the security of records and files.
- Support the MD with administrative tasks, reports and requirements as required from time to time to optimize group productivity and output.
- Assist in the management of the MD’s calendar, availability with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a manner consistent with that of the MD and underlying North American Commercial Leadership Team.
- To act as an operational extension of the MD and team to enhance productive capacity of the group.

Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally in an operational capacity within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage both micro-level tasks and macro-level strategic initiatives.
- Strong background in strategic planning, operational excellence, and process design.
- Experience in scaling operations and administrative functions in a dynamic setting.
- Passion for using data to drive strategic decisions and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster stakeholder buy-in and collaboration.
- Resilient and adaptable, with a strong commitment to driving results in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a productive manner to achieve stated objectives and ensure alignment with organizational vision.
- A proven ability to maintain one’s composure and ability to communicate in a fast paced, results-oriented environment.
