**Position Overview**

**Accountabilities**:

- Works with the Manager, Infrastructure & Security and consultants to architect, design and implement complex infrastructure, systems and security solutions to improve performance, scalability, efficiency, and security. These system may be hosted internally or cloud based.
- Patches critical systems, devices, and servers as needed and on an emergency basis.
- Keeps up to date with technology trends and researches, evaluates and makes recommends to improve systems, processes and reduce cost
- Executes critical data backups and restores as necessary
- Resolves escalated support tickets
Performs Microsoft server administration utilizing Active Directory, group policies and login scripts.
- Deploys and maintains head office and branch Microsoft servers
- Mitigates and escalates IT security events. May monitor and response to System Information and Event Management system (SIEM) notifications
- Works with consultants and cloud providers to ensure their deliverables align with IT goals
- Helps various departments with basic reporting needs and data transfers.
- Administers Office365 and related technologies such as Teams, SharePoint and Exchange Online

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Information Technology or Systems Administration.
- At least 3 years’ related experience, ideally in a small to medium-sized organization. Experience in a credit union or other financial institution is an asset.
- Experience in administration of Microsoft systems, servers and Office365.
- Completion of, or working towards, Microsoft and/or Cisco certification is an asset.
- Aptitude for understanding IT security. Certificate in IT security an asset.
- Microsoft SharePoint or SQL administration experienced an asset
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
