Sous la supervision de la Gestionnaire, Contenu analytique, la personne choisie accomplira les tâches suivantes:

- Assurer la coordination des collections et ouvrages qui lui sont attitrés, disponibles en ligne et en format imprimé;
- Effectuer le suivi des auteurs afin d’obtenir la remise des manuscrits et des mises à jour selon les échéanciers fixés;
- Réviser les manuscrits afin de s’assurer qu’ils respectent nos règles de rédaction et fournir des commentaires aux auteurs;
- Identifier et développer du contenu juridique en français et en anglais, requis pour les différents produits de LexisNexis Canada, dont nos ouvrages imprimés, nos livres électroniques, et notre plate-forme de recherche Lexis Advance Quicklaw
- Procéder au recrutement de nouveaux auteurs et au remplacement d’auteurs qui se sont désistés;
- Évaluer la viabilité financière des nouveaux projets de publications pour déterminer s’ils doivent être poursuivis;
- Rédiger et négocier des contrats d'édition;
- Identifier, coordonner et développer des améliorations de contenu;
- Établir et maintenir de bonnes relations avec la communauté juridique, y compris les praticiens, les universitaires, les membres de la magistrature, les bibliothécaires et d'autres clients externes;
- Travailler avec les équipes Marketing et Ventes pour développer des stratégies de mise en marché pour les publications attitrées;
- Agir à titre de personne-ressource auprès des auteurs et des membres de nos différentes équipes pour les ouvrages attitrés;

Ce poste peut être principalement ou entièrement à distance. Notre siège social canadien est situé à Toronto, en Ontario, et nous avons un bureau à Montréal, au Québec. Cependant, ce poste peut être basé dans une autre province.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ:

- Bilinguisme;
- Un diplôme en droit canadien ou un diplôme en droit d’une autre juridiction avec un certificat de qualification du Comité national sur les équivalences des diplômes de droit du Canada;
- Au moins un an d’expérience en pratique du droit ou à titre de stagiaire en droit ou dans le domaine de l’édition juridique;
- Excellentes aptitudes organisationnelles et grand souci du détail;
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs projets et à respecter les délais de publication de nos produits imprimés, en ligne et nos bulletins d'information;
- Habiletés à développer des relations privilégiées avec nos collaborateurs et à travailler sur des projets impliquant plusieurs équipes;
- Excellentes compétences en communication (orale et écrite) et en négociation;
- Connaissance d’Adobe Acrobat et de la suite Microsoft Office.

Content Development Associate

(Primarily or fully home-based - Full-time position)

LexisNexis Canada is seeking to hire one Content Development Associate for French and English-language legal content development within the External Author Management Team.

Reporting to the Manager, Analytical Content, the position will include the following key responsibilities:

- Manage a portfolio of designated publications, available both online and in print;
- Collaborate and follow-up with authors to ensure timely delivery of manuscript and updates according to our publishing schedule;
- Review manuscripts to make sure they adhere to our author guidelines and provide feedback to authors;
- Identify and develop new French and English-language legal content assets required for various product lines, including LexisNexis Canada’s print, eBooks, and our online research service, Lexis Advance Quicklaw
- Recruit new authors and proceed to author replacement for publications within your portfolio;
- Assess financial viability of new content proposals to determine whether they should be pursued;
- Draft and negotiate publishing contracts;
- Identify, organize and develop content enhancements;
- Build and maintain good public relations with the legal community, including practitioners, academics, members of the judiciary, librarians, market research contacts, and other external customers;
- Work with Marketing and Sales departments to build “go-to-market” strategies;
- Act as a resource person for authors and various internal departments for publications within your portfolio.

This position may be either primarily or fully home-based. Our Canadian head office is located in Toronto, Ontario and we have an office in Montréal, Québec. However, this position may be based in another province.

Requirements for the position:

- Bilinguism;
- A Canadian law degree, or a law degree from another jurisdiction with a Certificate of Qualification from Canada’s National Committee on Accreditation;
- At least 1 year’s practice/articling or legal publishing experience;
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
