**Tenure-Track Position, Assistant Professor, School of Nursing**

This is an opportunity to join a growing School of Nursing in a university that focuses on quality undergraduate teaching and research while looking to establish a graduate program for nurses. The School of Nursing has a strong reputation for being student-centered and providing students with rich practice-based learning opportunities. We are strengthening inclusion of Indigenous knowledges and understandings in relation to health, wellness, and healing, with an emphasis on anti-racist and anti-oppression teaching frameworks.
- a minimum of one (1) graduate degree in Nursing
- completion or near completion (ABD) of a Ph.D. in nursing or a related discipline
- an unrestricted licensure with the College of Nurses of Ontario or be eligible for licensure;
- an established teaching record at the undergraduate level, and of educational leadership and/or mentorship considered an asset;
- experience with experiential learning and/or alternative modes of delivery is highly desired;
- evidence of strong research and scholarship; demonstrated through peer-reviewed academic publications, academic conference presentations, potential to secure external funding, and knowledge translation activities would be an asset;
- evidence of highly effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team;
- demonstrated track record related to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) but also to belonging, decolonialization and social justice;
- experience in research, and/or teaching ability in one or more of the following areas would be considered an asset: northern/rural nursing, Indigenous health and wellness, and mental health/psychiatric nursing.
