Club General Manager and Sales Manager

You will lead the sales department in the mining and conversion of leads and prospects into membership units. You will offer support and authentic recommendations to a large team and an even larger clientele. You thrive on driving members into the Altea Active profit pipeline such as personal training, small group training, family activities, café, etc.

You are an experienced leader who has an appreciation for and understands fitness, finance, client services, business, and most importantly, how to engage, recognize, lead, and inspire your team.
- You’re Motivated & Driven: You are goal-oriented and consistently have your finger on the pulse as you use key performance indicators to ensure that all club departments from membership sales to personal training to customer service to group fitness to operations are persistently improving and meeting financial goals.
As a Club General Manager/Sales Manager, a typical day might include the following:
- Preparing and reviewing a profit and loss report
- Daily check-ins with club level management to ensure all programs and promotions (in-house and outreach) are tracking positively.
- Daily Debrief with Management Team to ensure uniform communications exist across all departments for all relevant programs and activities.
- Analyzing membership sales and personal training sales against target goals
- Reviewing and cross-referencing individual and team sales goals against current position - adjusting the plan of attack accordingly
- Crafting new sales initiatives and reviewing them with the senior leadership team
- Leading a sales team meeting, ensuring the team is well informed of sales initiatives
- Conducting interviews in partnership with the department lead
To land this role you need to have;
- A University degree in sports science, recreation or leisure studies, health management, physiology, life sciences, business, management or related field.
- At least 5 + years facility operations experience.
- 5+ years related sales experience with an established track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- 5-7+ years personnel management experience.
- Proven ability to engage, inspire, motivate and lead 100+ employees.
- Success in exceeding individual and team sales goals.
- All management/leadership team members are required to have Standard First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment. CPR is to be renewed annually.
- All team members must provide a recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
