**REPORTS TO**:Aboriginal Relations Advisor
**HOURS**: 15 hours per month
**ENVIRONMENT**: Combination of remote, in-office, and in-person community interactions

The company’s development partnerships are not only focused on the economic performance of the project itself but are focused on leveraging the developments to provide meaningful long-term employment for our partner’s members.

**SUMMARY**:
Working with the Development team, the Development Coordinator would be a member of the Squamish First Nation and would act as the liaison between Aquilini Development and the Nation. In addition, the incumbent will provide an indigenous lens and insights to projects when collaborating with development team.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
(Other duties may be assigned from time to time)
- Advises the development, marketing and design teams on various matters, including strategies for engaging with MST communities, incorporation of cultural expression and traditional teachings, and content development
- Assists and spearheads communication between the project team and Squamish First Nation and other partnership communities, including business entities and departments
- Assists in organizing and implementing an engagement and stakeholder strategy
- Provide guidance on the implementation job and training programs for Indigenous communities comprising of our project partnerships
- Attends engagement events of all sizes including open houses and other community events
- Participates in workshops

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Is a member of the Squamish First Nation
- Basic understanding of the overall real estate development process
- An interest in the real estate development industry
- A team player with professional written & verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A proven self-starter who learns quickly
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
- Highly methodical with strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with a proven ability to produce quality materials while meeting all deadlines.
- Unquestionable integrity
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to work closely and cooperatively with internal and external clients at all levels
- Proven ability to work under pressure while juggling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills,
