**Key Responsibilities**:

- Initiate and maintain all required/appropriate documentation for quoting process and maintaining/updating quotation database.
- Formulate quotations as the need arises and processing quotes for customer submission
- Follow up and secure base contract purchase orders and Engineering change purchase orders.
- Handle customer negotiations with reference to costs and commercial matters and invoicing.
- Track and resolve all customer issues in a timely manner
- Prepare information for customer presentations and new business technical reviews
- Negotiations with Suppliers to secure the best possible price.
- Issue purchase orders to sub contractors and ensure all documentation has been secured, including:

- Secure Bank Validation Letters have been secured
- Secure Bailee agreement
- Communicate payment terms and invoicing requirements
- Liaison with customers, subcontractors, and engineering regarding submission/follow-up on quotations, Purchase orders, engineering changes.
- Responsible to ensure open and effective communications to Cross Function Team members
- Responsible and support implementation of cost saving initiatives at all levels with supporting documentation for tracking and followed up, reports to be available at any time for review with management.
- Estimate costs for stamping dies, checking fixtures, engineering changes, die modifications, service and maintenance, production panels, etc.
- Prepare quotes and breakdown sheets as required for new RFQs and existing ECNs
- Prepare specific reports as required by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintains cost database by entering and back up data, analyze company data, exchange rates and prices
- Maintains quote logs, quote files, and issues any historical status reports as requested
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as labor, production time, raw material, equipment and overhead expenses
- Facilitates quotation review meetings for management approval of all quotations
- Reviews formal quotations to the customers, including their specific cost break down forms with notations of any specific requirements, suggestions or exceptions
- Reviews engineering changes submitted or requested by the customer to determine if there will be any cost or process impact
- Interface with Engineering on technical and process matters.
- Handle customer negotiations with reference to costs for new business and ECNs.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environmental in accordance with the HS&E Agreements for Employees - Addendum.

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Business/ Mechanical background with an accredited degree in business, finance or suitable practical experience.
- Quotation, Customer Focus, Design Planning Procedures (QOS), or any other ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 training as prescribed through the QEMS (see matrixes)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic Catia, Unigraphics, SMIRT - able to read and understand
- Use of Webex, Conference Calling, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Orientation, 5S, Continuous Improvement Suggestion Program, AODA Training, Practical Ethics, Magna’s Code of Conduct and compliance training.
- Knowledge of business and accounting principles and practices
- A high degree of proficiency in all MS Office programs, especially Excel is mandatory
- Detail oriented and must have the ability to handle several priorities with the ability to maintain thoroughness and accuracy while meeting deadlines
- Basic understanding of Purchasing Process including Request for Quotations (RFQ), Requisitions and Issuing PO
- Experience in Automotive Industry is an Asset
