The Opportunity
This position is responsible for scheduling preventive and regular maintenance with mínimal interruption to production operations. In this capacity, the Facilities Coordinator, is the principal contact and liaison person between Maintenance and Production and other supporting departments in relation to determining the timing for execution of planned maintenance work. The Facilities Coordinator manages the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and supports other staff in effectively and efficiently utilizing the CMMS. The position requires an individual with strong organizational, analytical, technical skills; problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills, independent judgement skills, inter-personal and people management skills. The Facilities Coordinator must possess the ability and skills to effectively provide direction, lead and work in a diverse team environment and communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical individuals. They will be required to be available on call after hours and on weekends as required to respond to emergencies. The incumbent will report to the Facility Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitors work requests in Fiix (CMMS) and distributes work orders accordingly.- Works with Maintenance Supervisor to schedule work for the Maintenance Team- Creates/updates Work Orders and Scheduled Maintenance Plans as required- Ensure Scheduled activities are completed within the regulatory framework and in timely matter- Communicate effectively with team, internal and external customers, contractors, and suppliers- Tracks Contractor work orders for submission of service reports- Communicates with contractors to schedule required site visits/ Jobs- Receives deliveries in Fiix and adds parts to work orders as required- Assists with inventory setup/maintenance in Fiix- Ensures work processes are streamlined and efficient (within and outside of Fiix)- Responsible for asset capturing/tagging in Fiix- Communicates with other departments regarding urgent requests/ equipment issues- Providing administrative support to the facilities department- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times- Adhere to and enforce company safety procedures- Providing administrative support to the facilities department- Maintain inventory of supplies, spare parts, tools and equipment- Daily analysis and recording of Facility data and Maintenance KPIs- Other duties as assigned
Experience- Strong organizational skills- Problem solving skills; willingness and flexibility to foresee and overcome obstacles- Self-starter with a passion for detail- Knowledge of safety procedures in accordance with WHIMIS, OHSA, as well as local regulations- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently- Strong computer skills (specially MS. Excel, Word and Power Point)- Knowledge of CMMS systems is an asset- Experience working in a production facility with GMP standards- Basic knowledge & understanding of Building Automation Systems and components such as Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, Generators HVAC, plumbing and electrical is considered an asset- Knowledge of a variety of maintenance tasks including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, pneumatics, pumps and drywall finishing work is considered an asset- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment- Previous experience in record keeping- Experience working in an environment regulated by Health Canada also considered an asset- Experience with adhering to standard operating procedures- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written

This is approximately a 14-month contract position, based out of our Tiverton, Ontario site.
