**PROJECT COORDINATOR/SUPERVISOR POSITION**

Rankin Construction headquartered in St. Catharines, Ontario requires a Project Coordinator/Supervisor for their **Kincardine Office**.
- The Project Coordinator/Supervisor will support the Project Manager, and project team by coordinating and organizing project activities, resources and information. They will work closely with all project team members to ensure adequate project alignment and coordination is occurring at all levels. Duties include monitoring and reporting project performance, tracking completion of work as scheduled, following up on the status of actions for the project team, and liaising between different areas of the project as well as internal and external stakeholders.

- Provide estimating support on for bids and proposals as they relates to these programs.
- Coordinate the issue of subcontracts.
- Coordination of all aspects of construction projects including Safety, scheduling, working with the project Superintendent and field staff...
- Working with clients and consulting firms.
- Preparation of specifications for purchasing material, services or equipment providing necessary technical services..
- Initiation, preparation, and implementation of new procedures or modifications to existing procedures.
- Maintain installation status through a process of signing off sequenced steps on ITP's while coordinating verification's related to current code and technical requirements as well as regulatory witness and hold points.
- Manage the process to ensure that all planned inspections, examinations, calibrations, and surveillance activities are scheduled and executed as required.
- Identify, report, and secure approval for deviations from the design documents as they occur and before release to construction.
- Provide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs and applicable procedures.
- Provide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow.
- Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project.
- Develop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.
- Maintain high standards related to final product quality and to consistently require conformance from both staff and subcontractors.
- Work within the established budget for all assigned resources ensuring that sufficient staff is available to support the assigned work. Identify and assist in disposition of variances from budgets.

- **Required Knowledge & Skills**:

- Engineering Degree from an accredited university or Engineering Technology Post-Secondary education.
- 2+ years of experience with building and or municipal, modification, maintenance and construction projects in Ontario, Cananda.
- This position requires sound knowledge of engineering principles and process associated with construction.
- Knowledge of OPG work and configuration management systems considered an asset (Passport/Asset Suite).
- Proficient written (report writing) communication skills
- Poject support role, preferably with an ICI General Contractor or subcontractor.
- Experience working on commercial and/or institutional projects from start to finish.
- Works effectively in a team environment.personal skills in communicating an the ability to work effectively in a strong union environment
