Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude.
- Be committed to providing exceptional guest care through use of initiative and empowered decision making.
- Greet and respond to guests with appropriate action and provide accurate information about our hotel and the area.
- Check in/check out guests in a friendly manner ensuring accuracy of all information/billing.
- Complete the registration process with a computer system, confirming pertinent information including number of guests and room rate and guests’ preferences and requirements.
- Promote Holiday Inn Brand and brand marketing programs.
- Field guest requests and complaints, being empowered to resolve issues and satisfy guest.
- Code electronic keys.
- Take accurate payments using cash and credit cards.
- Answer telephones, use radio or pagers, use of calculators.
- Close guest accounts at time of check out and check for guests’ satisfaction and resolve any issues before they leave.
- Take reservations using the computer, maximizing revenue.
- Be competent in the use of the computer in line procedures
- Knowledge of Opera and One Rewards
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Internet searching, send faxes, photocopies.
- Liaise and interact with other department specifically Housekeeping and Maintenance in order to contribute to the smooth running of the property and the satisfaction of our guests.
- Carry out security checks of the hotel.
- Ensure full completion of all duties relating to the shift and handover to next shift.
- React to emergency situations calmly and follow protocols.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Must be available for all shifts, including evenings, weekend and holidays.

Hospitality Graduate an asset.
