Accounts Receivable Administrator

We are looking for an **Accounts Receivable/Payable **Administrator to join our team of talented and driven professionals.
The Accounts Payable/Receivable Administrator ensures that all vendor invoices are paid in an accurate and timely manner and that all accounts payable records are organized and up-to-date. Also, receives payments, prepares deposits and handles other administrative tasks.
**Job Type**:Full-time, Temporary (1-year contract) may to lead to Permanent position
**Schedule**:Monday to Friday
**Duties**:
- Post vendor invoices into accounting accurately with POs or requisitions attached;
- Balance vendors to statements and accounts payable schedule, and write cheques at month-end;
- Monitor payment of invoices to ensure that duplicate payments are not made or that invoices are not paid without authorization;
- Ensure that no vendor accounts are overdue;
- Prepare cheques for all requisitions;
- Post payable and credit card transactions into accounting;
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for payables;
- Prepare and post deposits;
- Receive and post cheques from customers;
**What we’re looking for**:
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a team environment with a willingness to offer support to other team members
- Basic understanding of accounting
- Basic computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel
**Education & Experience**
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting is considered an asset
- Minimum 1-year experience as an accounts payable/receivable clerk is required.
