Le chef de service - Planification de l'exploitation dirige les activités quotidiennes du service de la Planification de l'exploitation. À ce titre, il soutient les planificateurs en supervisant de façon directe l'élaboration du plan de maintenance quotidienne. Le titulaire du poste s'assure que le programme de maintenance, la réglementation et d'autres tâches et activités sont planifiés et mis en œuvre dans les délais prescrits grâce à un plan réalisable.

**Principales fonctions et obligations de rendre compte **(responsabilités, activités, niveaux décisionnels, etc.)
- Assurer des communications interdirectionnelles efficaces en ce qui concerne la maintenance pour que l'horaire des vols du jour soit respecté.
- Superviser le plan de maintenance complet pour la Maintenance en ligne, pour le jour même et pour les 14 jours suivants.
- Prendre des décisions opérationnelles majeures relatives aux répercussions du plan de maintenance.
- Diriger et communiquer les sommaires des plans de maintenance pour les activités quotidiennes, et tenir des conférences téléphoniques quotidiennes sur ces activités.
- Gérer la mise en œuvre et l'exécution de projets de grande envergure.
- Tenir compte de l'impact financier dans l'évaluation et les prévisions des options ou des scénarios.
- Gérer les exigences complexes en matière de maintenance avec la Maintenance en ligne et le Contrôle de l'exploitation réseau.
- Travailler avec les clients internes et externes afin de remplir les exigences liées à la planification le jour même.
- Assumer la responsabilité des problèmes liés aux conflits de planification ayant fait l'objet d'un recours hiérarchique, à la capacité, à l'itinéraire, à l'équilibre du travail, aux matières et à la Maintenance en ligne.
- Collaborer avec la Configuration des systèmes pour corriger les erreurs et les omissions relevées dans le système TRAX (afin d'inclure entre autres l'applicabilité des numéros des pièces, les anomalies des cartes de travail et les changements liés à l'évaluation des heures-personnes).
- S'acquitter de tâches administratives concernant le personnel, organiser des réunions d'équipe, etc.

**Qualifications**
- Connaissance approfondie de la Maintenance Air Canada, un atout
- Connaissance approfondie de l'exploitation, un atout
- Esprit d'initiative et capacité à bien travailler avec un minimum de supervision
- Habileté éprouvée à la résolution de problèmes liés à l'analyse des données
- Excellente connaissance pratique des logiciels de la suite Microsoft Office, du système TRAX et de NetLine
- Sens reconnu de l'organisation, et habileté à exécuter des tâches multiples et à bien travailler sous pression
- Solides compétences en communication orale, écrite et interpersonnelle
