**Job Purpose**

At Pearle, the Accounting Analysts are an essential part of the overall success of business operations and the finance department. Working as a part of a team, the Accounting Analyst is the key financial business partner for multiple Pearle Hospitality properties. Working together with other finance team members, as well as the property senior management team, this role provides the support and guidance on the financial management of the property.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure the successful completion of all balancing transactions for your properties - daily, weekly, monthly.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist with operational finance tasks as needed such as support for tip processing.
- Create, complete, and present weekly reports and KPI stats to the Senior Management team.
- Analyze monthly P&L statements to explain variances from budget and prior year.
- Work with property leadership and senior management to track budgets and improve annual budget processes.

**What we would like you to bring to the position**
- Post secondary degree or diploma specializing in finance or accounting.
- 3 years’ proven success in a financial role.
- Experience in hospitality is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros is considered an asset.
- Initiative, a sense of urgency, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, attention to detail and analytical skills are competencies critical for success in this role.
- Attention to detail: Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, as well as the flexibility and openness to work on multiple tasks and initiatives.
- Initiative & Sense of Urgency: A personal drive to complete tasks and projects on time and the desire to always bring forward recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong Communication Skills: Comfortable to communicate with a variety of team members & leaders to achieve desired results and assist with positive implementation of key financial processes and procedures.
