We partner with all major North American battery manufacturers to provide a sustainable closed-loop, circular-economy solution to locally capture spent batteries and recover their valuable components for reuse. In doing so, we help achieve a 99 percent recycling rate - the highest of any consumer product in North America. This includes collecting and processing lead acid batteries and producing high-quality recycled lead and polypropylene pellets for battery manufacturers.

We do this through two, strategically located, state-of-the-art recycling facilities near Toronto and Montreal, as well as a logistics hub near Buffalo, New York to facilitate the import/export of products. These locations, along with an extensive network of supply chain and commercial partners, allow us to provide unparalleled service to our battery manufacturing customers throughout North America.

**Job Type**: 4-Month Contract

**Location**: Mississauga, ON

Position Description

Provides administrative support to members of the Human Resources department, supporting daily human resources activities and special projects. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, composure and flexibility when faced with managing multiple conflicting priorities. Self-motivated and started, requires minimum supervision. This position requires the incumbent to be present in the Mississauga office 5 days a week.

Key Accountabilities
- Exposure to various disciplines in the field of Human Resources including Recruitment, Onboarding and Employee/Labour Relations
- Provides direct administrative support in copying, filing, scanning, etc. both for electronic and paper files
- Develops facility communication, announcements, memos and posting as required
- Supports auditing by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate files electronically and in hardcopy to ensure responsible administrative records and corporate memory
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures
- Supports Terrapure’s mission, vision and values
- Perform other duties as required.

Experience, Qualifications & Education
- Enrolled in a College/University in Human Resources or Administration
- Previous experience working in a Human Resources or administrative role an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of administrative processes and procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and quickly adapt to change
- Ability to maintain composure when faced with managing multiple conflicting priorities for multiple stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities; proactive in anticipating needs and potential problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to list 15-20lbs
