**About the opportunity**

Pacific Safety has an opening for a full-time Safety Advisor. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. **You will work at client sites and remotely from home**.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Respond to customer inquiries and help facilitate client discovery meetings to determine their OHS requirements
- Support the sales process by assisting with the development of formal proposals, quotes and estimates
- Project manage client deliverables including the development of project scopes, schedules and budgets
- Collaborate with senior staff to develop and implement group growth strategies, including marketing and preparation of proposals
- Assess client programs and evaluate compliance gaps within safety management systems
- Work with clients to produce safety and hygiene control strategies including safety management systems, safe work procedures and exposure control plans and supporting documents
- Assist clients with the implementation of safety management system elements
- Conduct presentations, develop and facilitate workshops and support client JOSH committee meetings
- Carry out field/site hands-on aspects of safety management system audits, site assessments, fieldwork
- Lead small project teams
- Write and format reports, letters, memos and correspondence
- Travel to client sites

**About You**

We are looking for a motivated, technically sound OHS practitioner who is enthusiastic, coachable and has a client-centric attitude. You must be comfortable working independently, have excellent organizational skills and be able to manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently. You possess strong analytical skills, exceptional people skills and are able to build relationships. Your emotional intelligence should match, if not exceed, your technical knowledge. You must have a solid work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Mandatory Experience, Qualifications and Requirements**
- Completed post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or Occupational Hygiene or related science.
- Certified as a CHSC and/or CRSP
- At least **5 years** experience in OHS-related position(s)
- Must be able to develop and facilitate short workshops and deliver presentations
- Previous experience auditing
- Knowledge of ISO, CSA and OSHAS standards
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Office 365)
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Ability to travel out of town for short-duration projects
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check

- Customer-focused attitude, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge/experience with OHS Management Systems and audit tools
- Experience managing small to medium size projects
- Effective written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage time-sensitive projects concurrently
