**Community Outreach Coordinator Job Description**:
We are searching for a talented, independent professional community outreach coordinator. The incumbent will represent the organization and work with the management team and community to plan, develop and implement initiatives, identify, secure and coordinate resources to help vulnerable people from diverse cultural backgrounds; be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven to take on this exciting role in a conducive comfortable, environment and help accomplish our mission of enshrining the rights of all people for equality and dignity, This position is 30 hrs weekly, $22.00 per hr, paid vacations and statuary holidays; requires someone to work autonomously yet team spirited, sound leadership skills equipped with a positive attitude to take initiatives and be ready to be a team player.
**Responsibilities**:
- Under the supervision of the administrative manager(s) Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities, especially with local schools and community committees.
- Sound racial, cultural understanding of systemic issues, oppressive barriers affecting racialized people.
- Liaise with external agencies, attend community meetings, and represent the organization, augmenting the cultural communities served and the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equality.
- Participates in networking and community relations activities, relay community feedback to relevant internal board members/ manager.
- Plan, oversee program implementation and operations, facilitate directly camp program to ensure smooth daily operation.
- Advertise, recruit, help Interview, orient, supervise potential workers/volunteer
- Keep track of report review, / project evaluation, final report deadlines to submit in a timely manner.
- Prepare budget and activity report for community outreach activities, coordinate AGM with Board of Directors.
- Nurture new, old relationships with collaborative partners.
- Organize, facilitate fundraising events and other public celebrations/special events
- Assess identify emerging issues, changing needs and conditions of the communities serviced, plan service provision accordingly.
- Prepare accurate records aligning organizational communications, PR, social media, marketing content for strong visibility in community.
- Stay ahead of new developments and opportunities, solicit item & donations.
- Assist in strategies to attract new members & volunteers; help create a work culture that promotes mutual support, respect, retention, innovation, and accountability.
- Provides regular and reliable reports on program development and impacts
- Perform any other related tasks assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, education, communications, early childhood studies, business, human, social service, **or **CEGEP Diploma in a related field, with Strong relevant experience in community organization.
- Preferred experience of 3-5 years within non-profit fundraising, outreach activities or equivalent.
- Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
- Functionally bilingual English and French, written, spoken.
- Empathetic, listening & group facilitation skills
- Works well independently, takes initiatives and integrate learning into practice for best outcome.
- Strong experience preparing reports, proposal grant writing.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Ready to assume leadership with confidence

- Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Superb time management and prioritizing skills
