We are currently looking for an **_Operations Assistant. _**This is an **_entry level_** position that will be supporting the Operations Manager and the Production team in planning and performing order fulfilment activities. Our Production Team at Mabel’s Labels is driven to producing the best quality products. We get excited about achieving and exceeding daily shipping targets, discovering efficiencies in our production processes, and learning how to incorporate new equipment and software. We work as a well-gelled team to ensure the flow of product from the printers to the shipping trucks is always maintained

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with scheduling and managing production activities to meet manufacturing objectives in timely and cost-effective manner.
- Assist with inventory management, including but not limited to: inventory tracking, shipment tracking, PO generation, etc. to ensure adequate inventory levels to avoid downtime and delays
- Help to pro-actively identify machine maintenance needs and report to Manager in timely manner.
- Assist with building maintenance needs and identify potential risks to health and safety and smooth operations of the business
- Manage general office supply levels and order as required
- Understand all production methods, processes, and equipment in order to assist with training for new and seasonal employees and also provide backup assistance to production operators as required.
- Assist with generating weekly and monthly production related reports for Manager
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness & ensure all team members are following OHSA and company H&S policies and procedures
- Be an active member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
**Requirements**:
- OSSD required, Post-Secondary education an asset
- Self-driven and motivated
- Act decisively when solving issues
- Exceptional communication, both verbal & written
- Competence with Microsoft Office software (i.e Microsoft Excel) and high level of comfort in learning new software systems
- Experience with general clerical and administrative tasks
- Able to work efficiently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends during high volume periods
