Job Summary
The Power Platform Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. This is a critical role that will support the Power Platform user community, product/projects teams, and participate in the delivery and deployment of automated solutions for the organization. The role also entails the support of legacy systems and other in-house solutions.

Key Accountabilities:
- Administer and maintain the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Configure and manage connections, gateways, environments, and data sources.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop, customize, and deploy automated solutions, and develop associated documentation and user guides.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data within the Power Platform.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions.
- Collaborate with the cyber security team for compliance and data governance requirements.
- Provide end-user training on Power Platform best practices.
- Offer technical support to users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with the latest features and enhancements of the Power Platform.
- Recommend and implement improvements to streamline processes and enhance the user and team experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and drive innovation within the Power Platform.
Job Requirements
**Education**:
- Completion of a secondary school diploma.
- A college or university degree in technology related field and/or relevant training and experience.
**Experience**:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Administrator for Systems and Platforms.
- Minimum 2 years experience with the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience supporting, monitoring, and maintaining platforms and in-house developed software products.
- Proficiency with Patch Management processes.
- Automation of support and operational activities.
- Writing technical specifications, operational procedures, test plans and test cases.
- Experience working on projects, defining functional and non-functional requirements, and participated in the design/implementation of technical solutions.
- Database expertise including querying, analytics, and report creation.
Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and maintaining systems to ensure interoperability, reliability, security, optimum performance levels, capacity, and configuration and security.
- Proficiency in various database platforms
- Strong knowledge of Change Management and Quality Management processes and guidelines
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes

Working conditions:
Hybrid: This position is based at the Ottawa Technical Services Centre but may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
