**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with the executive team to execute special projects and initiatives related to accounting and finance
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries
- Prepare financial reports and analyses, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and streamline operations
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as required
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement
- Perform ad hoc financial tasks and analyses as needed
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- A team player with the ability to work independently when required
