**Some of what you will do**:
As a Pricing Analyst for Staples, you will provide analytical and strategic support to the Sales, Pricing, and Merchandising teams to empower business leaders to make timely and well-informed pricing decisions. This will be accomplished using pricing and cost to serve modelling, analytics, legal agreement reviews, and working internal and external parties to obtain the best possible costing. The analyst will be required to work with multiple departments at all levels to present relevant information to the senior leadership team and ensure pricing activities are implemented to assist the business in achieving EBITDA targets.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Retention, penetration, and acquisition related activities on accounts to drive Staples Professional revenue and margin initiatives;
- Account modelling to forecast business costs related to existing or newly acquired account;
- Review of legal agreements to assist the sales team in developing a market strategy for the account including highlighting high-risk factors accompanied by mitigation recommendations for group discussion or escalation;
- Use pricing analytics to provide strategic recommendations to sales team;
- Facilitate conference calls with key stakeholders including Sales Directors, Merchandising team and Senior Leadership to proactively suggest and present strategies related to the opportunity/activity in adherence to pricing approval guidelines and to make the sales team aware of any potential roadblocks to completing the pricing activity;
- Identify key risks in opportunities and highlight for the sales team and management;
- Work with vendors directly or with merchandising team to source new products and obtain deviated pricing as required.

**Some of what you need**:

- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, accounting, finance or equivalent work experience is required;
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- 2-4 years experience working with large sets of data and multiple data sources; evaluating data accompanied by recommendations and a track record of high accountability of those results;
- Able to deliver quality work while managing multiple priorities and acting with a sense of urgency;
- Skilled at using data to derive actionable insights;
- Able to think creatively to find solutions for complex and ambiguous problems;
- Communicates effectively, both written and oral, with strong interpersonal skills;
- Experience presenting information to senior management team;
- Industry background: Familiar with product lines offered by our company, e.g. Office Supplies, Technology products, Facilities Solutions products, etc.
- Ability to work within multiple tight timelines;
- Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and to manage their time effectively with changing priorities;
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Able to work independently while contributing to a high performing team;
- Attention to detail: accurate, eager to learn, analytical thought process, and creative thinking;
