LOFT Community Services is a unique and dynamic charitable organization that supports people living with complicated issues such as mental and physical health challenges, substance use challenges, poverty and homelessness. Serving approximately 13,969 annually and providing 1,788 units of supportive housing last year, LOFT is one of Ontario’s largest mental health service providers of its kind. To help fulfill its mission, LOFT is hiring a **Manager, Marketing & Communications**.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
To cultivate annual giving revenue, acquire new donors and drive brand awareness that support the strategic objectives of organization. In strategic partnership with the Senior Director, Development and Communications, this role develops and manages the implementation of the annual plan to meet annual fundraising and brand awareness goals. Working closely with relevant stakeholders, this role is responsible for producing compelling material to a range of audiences, high-level communication skills to a variety of stakeholders, colleagues, media, volunteers, donors, and the general public.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Integrated Communications

Work with the Senior Director to plan initiatives through the development of strategic briefs of all writing and managing production of all corporate marketing materials including newsletters, impact reports, direct mail campaigns and all digital channels and relevant presentations.
- Provide creative direction to external partners (i.e., writers and graphic designers) to ensure brand compliance and tone
- Develop and manage concise and compelling content, collaborating with applicable program staff and suppliers to ensure execution, ensuring accuracy, and leveraging engagement
- Work with Development Specialist to ensure appeal codes, response devices and performance tracking are integrated and executed
- Ensure consent from clients and staff to ensure privacy compliance.
- Website - develop and champion all aspects of the website, updating content as required in a timely manner and conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy of information
- Social Media - manage all LOFT social channels and develop engaging content strategies to promote LOFT and support fundraising
- Develop advertising budget(s), recommending strategies to effectively reach target audiences and build awareness in a cost-effective manner, utilizing both traditional and non-traditional channels
- Public and Media Relations
- Develop public and media relations strategy, monitor relevant media content and leverage opportunities to increase awareness
- Develop and maintain media contact list, developing relationships with key media
- Participate in Ontario Heath communications as required
- Community Engagement
- Plan and execute the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in partnership with stakeholders
- Plan and execute fundraising events and volunteer engagement opportunities that drive acquisition of new donors and supporters
- Brand
- Managing the comprehensive LOFT brand, ensuring adherence to brand standard, professionalism, and effectiveness in all material
- Point of contact for program staff to request communications collateral including signage, brochures, etc.
- preparing effective speaking notes for CEO, Sr. Directors, and Board members for a variety of fundraising events and speaking engagements
- Leadership
- Provide leadership, development to direct report(s) maximizing productivity and employee satisfaction
- Ensure staff development and performance goals are met.
- Develop effective relationships with programs and administrative colleagues as a representative of the Development & Communications team
- Budget
- Accountable for revenue and expense budget management
- Prepare regular reports on revenue progress, expense budgets and monitor to ensure fundraising efficacy key performance indicator is met. Recommend changes as necessary
- Analysis

Provide a post-mortem quantitative and qualitative analysis for all key initiatives on a quarterly basis. Summarize key learnings and provide recommendations within established timelines.
- Other duties as assigned to support the success of the Development & Communications team.
