**Primary Location**:Home based - US/Canada

**Schedule**: Full time - Monday to Friday - 40 hours work week. Overtime needed as per business needs and training objectives.

**Reports to**: Senior Logistics Operations Leader

**Compensation**: $85,000 - $95,000 per annum

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 per annum+ bonus + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary ranges for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions and/or additional incentives.

**About this Role and About You**

The focus of the new Road Logistics Manager (RLM) role is to meet/exceed company service and cost targets through the relationship and performance management of our common carrier partners. This role will work closely with our carrier partners and Logistics Purchasing to ensure necessary capacity is aligned and tender acceptance managed to move Chemtrade products safely and to meet customers’ service requirements. This is a key role on the Logistics Operations team which will also identify and lead projects to improve sustainability, develop custom solutions for customer requirements, and help business supply chain partners solve internal challenges.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
- Seven (7) years Supply Chain experience w/ three (3) in Logistics Operations
- Three (3) years Chemical Shipper experience
- Three (3) years Liquid Bulk Transport Industry experience
- Experience working with TMS/FMS system(s)
- Experience working with Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.
- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision; highly motivated, energetic, and enjoy working as part of a team
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed for site visits and carrier meetings - 5-10%
- Will need current passport for cross border travel

**Responsibilities**
- Common carrier management: operating relationship and performance - 40%
- Develop and maintain carrier scorecards to highlight KPI trends and use as tool to facilitate performance review meetings and ad hoc improvement discussions
- Lead cadenced meetings to review performance, determine strategies for KPI improvements, and discuss strategic initiatives where carriers’ partnership needed (Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual - contingent on carrier size in network, performance trending, etc.)
- Point of escalation for accident/incident investigation and claims pursuit
- Own common carrier operational results and present to internal stakeholders with clear plans on how to improve going forward
- Partner with common carriers to troubleshoot issues and determine Chemtrade opportunities for improvement
- Logistics focal point for Business Supply Chain support - 30%
- Develop and maintain business scorecards to highlight operational KPI trends and use as tool to facilitate performance review meetings

- Point of escalation for business to engage for solutions to issues where Logistics support required to meet customer and/or plant needs
- Partner with Business Supply Chain to drive strategies improving service and/or reducing Road operational costs to meet targets
- Logistics Purchasing Partnership - 10%
- Help develop and implement carrier strategy bringing operational KPI metrics to the conversation to facilitate the determination of Logistics Service Provider (LSP) engagement levels
