**About Nurture**

We are reimagining early childhood learning and development, starting with 4 - 6 year olds, by helping parents teach their children life skills through play-based, co-op learning experiences involving animated stories, games, and off-app activities. Our primary goal is to strengthen parents' relationship with their children through these fun, bonding activities in order to fulfill our vision:

We help parents facilitate learning by providing them structured tips to encourage and reinforce their childrens' life skills development. We define life skills as the essential skills that every child must learn to realize their potential and find personal fulfillment in their lifetime. They are a synthesis of 21st century skills, social emotional skills, and practical skills, many of which are not taught in schools to the extent necessary for success in the future of work and life (e.g. critical thinking, health and fitness, financial literacy, collaboration, self regulation, how to learn, etc.).

Parenting education is woven into the experience to help parents grow.

We will require you to share with us your portfolio of 3D animation work, ideally with a showreel breakdown.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop, maintain, and create high-quality animation for real-time 3D game assets. This includes anything from short loops and locomotion cycles to full-blown cinematics with camera and character/creature animation.
- Create visually striking and exciting looking animations for in-game characters in Unity engine
- Develop excellent visual frames and strong poses that represent the characters and serve the game's design goals
- Collaborate with art, design, and engineering teams to help refine the animation pipeline and workflows
- Partner closely with Art Direction to uphold the artistic style and ensure a unified look of animations across the game
- R&D new techniques and best practices to implement into the production pipeline
- Give feedback & mentor animators (both in-house and outsource as needed).

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience animating characters using Maya or an equivalent 3D program.
- Exceptional skill in 3D character animation, animating bipedal, humanoid figures as well as other organic forms.
- Strong understanding of traditional animation principles and how they can be used to establish character personality and enhance overall gameplay.
- Experience utilizing Unity game engine
- Proven track record on at least one shipped title
- Orthographic game camera experience
