**IT Support Specialist Platform Job Description**

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for Storage systems (IBM V7000 series required), Monitoring and Analysis, Server deployment (Nutanix Required), Operational and change tickets (Incidents, Task), Microsoft AD Domain Services, ADDS, CA, ADFS, RDS, WDS, IIS, WSUS, Microsoft Hyper-V (VM admin. Required), SCCM, SCOM, Scripting: PowerShell, Generic Protocols, FTP server management, Docker/Container/Kubernetes/Ansible (preferred), LDAP, PKI, Ceph, Linux administration and troubleshooting is an asset, OpenStack (would like but not required).

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage Windows and Linux Servers
- Server resources space balancing or server builds
- Rollout patches, new versions of system software and firmware of supported servers
- Server capacity management
- Server installation for internal and business projects
- Update parameters or changes in the configuration
- Conduct systems audit reviews
- Coordinate efforts with other work groups and personnel to resolve incidents or events related to systems and supporting infrastructure
- **Must have** Build, Deploy, load, troubleshoot, and maintain servers (Nutanix and Lenovo)
- **Must have** Build, Deploy, load, troubleshoot, and maintain storage (IBM V7000 series)
- End-Of-Life old server hardware through migrations and retirements
- Continue to manage and maintain End-Of-Life old server hardware
- Monitor and deal with performance issues of the operating environment
- Perform daily system checks and maintenance functions as required to ensure system health.
- Perform server patch management.
- Server Infrastructure Administration
- Update parameters or changes in the configuration
- Linux experience would be an asset

**Qualifications**
- Graduate with a diploma or university degree in Computer Science or Technology or
- 3-5+ years of experience with overall experience in IT system administration and advanced computer support
- Technology infrastructure design, implementation, and management
- Extensive experience with Physical, Virtual and cloud Administration, SAN administration, Systems Management and Monitoring, Backup and Recovery
- **Must have** In-depth experience with the following server technologies - at least 2-4 years of experience is required: Nutanix, IBM V7000 series, Windows server etcPlatform centric experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical to troubleshooting issues and analysis of system and performance.
- Microsoft and Nutanix certification/training would be considered an asset
- Also, some experience in fiber channel switching would be an asset.
- Experience on setting up and manage AD DS/LDAP, VM
- Have experience and/or expertise on setting up & monitoring different IT tools
