**Position Summary**:
The National Inventory Manager will lead and manage the Graybar Canada inventory and pricing strategies to support the growth and effectiveness of the business.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Lead a formal inventory and pricing strategy in all Graybar Canada branches across Canada
- Manage teams responsible for inventory management and control and product and pricing maintenance across Graybar Canada
- Develop, monitor and course-correct inventory procedures
- Continuous Improvement of established methods and procedures, suggest alternative solutions and new methods to improve quality and increase productivity
- Develops systemized reports, controls and maintains data integrity
- Train, coach, and support teams to maximize purchasing and warehouse inventory control.
- Publish reports, analyze data, track performance by area, and determine problems and root causes; communicates results and recommend appropriate action
- Implements systems for continuous monitoring of inventory, setting targets, and exceptions to targets.
- Define recommended action plans to optimize inventory and reduce inventory value
- Supports acquisitions on Inventory Management.

**Strategic Pricing**:

- Oversees the setup and maintenance of the customer pricing matrix and CPA’s in SX.Enterprise, while working in conjunction with Branch Managers, Account Managers and Product Managers.
- Working closely with Product Managers to direct purchasing activities to maximize margins and support of core vendors
- Oversee the maintenance of cost, stocking and other defined product attributes in corporate systems
- Oversee the tracking and expiry of customer contracts.

**Inventory Control**:

- Leads cross-functional teams to develop and implement long-term supply strategies for key products and/or services balancing and optimizing inventory carrying costs, operational and transportation costs and maintaining service level to our branches and customers
- Ensures all cycle counts are scheduled and counting is completed timely, accurately, and in compliance with standard operating procedures
- Oversee team responsible for the set up and maintenance of inventory records in SX Enterprise ensuring the accuracy and consistency of costing, descriptions and product identification.
- Leads inventory reconciliation processes for both stock and non-stock inventory
- Development of models to select transportation paths to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution

**Supplier/Vendor Performance**:

- Works with key preferred suppliers and organizes business reviews to measure and manage supplier performance vs. contract service levels.
- Gathers internal customer feedback on supplier performance. Works with suppliers to ensure they meet expected deadlines on purchasing concerning key projects.
- Appraise vendor performance through on-site visits and measurements
- Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain performance and working with relevant product teams to develop corrective action plans as required
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service, reduce inactive and obsolete products as well as unavailable inventory.
- Work closely and in conjunction with National Product Managers for assistance in supporting Inventory Control requirements and objectives.
- Ensure Graybar Canada is taking advantage of all vendor return policies
- Involves internal stakeholders at an early stage in the procurement process
