STIHL Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG in Germany, is a leader in the distribution of chain saws and handheld outdoor power equipment in Canada. We have an immediate opening at our London head office for a fulltime **National Operations Manager** reporting to the President.
- **Key responsibilities**:_
- Ensure smooth operations in three distribution centres (London, ON, Moncton NB, Acheson, AB) and a sales office in Quebec City
- Responsible for a team of 6 Customer Service Representatives
- Look for opportunities to improve operation management systems, processes and best practices
- Work with Distribution Centre Managers to purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Review financial data and use it to look for opportunities to improve profitability
- Preparation and management of budgets and forecasts including capital expenditures, and expense allocation for the ongoing financial achievement of the organization
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI’s
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
- Look for opportunities to increase quality and efficiency of the Customer Service team
- Foster excellent relationships with cross-functional groups
- Drive a positive, employee-focused culture allowing for the teams growth and development, through effective performance management, training and mentoring
- **Qualifications**:_
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- 7-10 years progressive experience in an Operations or similar role
- Experience with Logistics and Transportation
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Analytical and decision making skills
- Travel to locations outside London, Ontario 1-2 times per year
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of the Outdoor Power Equipment industry is an asset
- Bilingualism (French) is an asset
