Fundraising Coordinator
(Full-Time)
At Community Care Durham (CCD), coordinated networks of volunteers and inter-professional staff, working out of integrated community hubs and other locations, strive to enrich the well-being and quality of life for people wherever they call home. As the largest community support services agency in Durham Region, CCD collaborates with its partners and the broader community to address community issues and support local citizens to achieve their goals to live independently.
Reporting to the Director, Community Capital Development, the Fundraising Coordinator provides support to the development, implementation, and review of CCD’s fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develops workplan for fundraising campaigns;
- Collaborates in developing the content for mailouts and community engagement components;
- Collaborates in developing and implementing marketing initiatives to promote campaigns;
- Connects with potential businesses/organizational donors and follows-up as required;
- Plans, implements, and reviews signature fundraising events including development of promotional material, use of online fundraising platform, venue, permits, insurance, food, event activities, etc.;
- Reaches out to local businesses and organizations to secure sponsorships /in-kind donations and recruit participants for fundraising event;
- Collaborates in arranging volunteers for events and provides orientation;
- Provides primary implementation support during fundraising events;
- Provides stewardship and recognition of donations/sponsorships received, according to CCD policies and procedures;
- Compiles statistics and prepare reports on donations associated with campaigns;
- Compiles detailed documentation of all aspects of the campaigns and fundraisers and assists in post-event reviews to inform future fundraising planning;
- Provides support for the Capital Campaign;
- Explores ongoing opportunities for CCD fundraising.
**Qualifications required**:
- Post-secondary education in Fundraising, Event Administration & Planning, Marketing, or directly related areas of study
- Three (3) years of successful fundraising administration, planning and implementation
- Marketing experience is an asset
- Experience in DonorPerfect, and Raisin an asset
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience building the following skills: teamwork, organization, attention to detail, communication, initiative, accountability, etc.
- Sensitivity to the needs of the vulnerable population with disabilities, including challenges in cognition
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must work in a safe manner and promote the health and safety of all staff, volunteers, clients and the community as outlined within CCD policies
**Compensation**: Starting at $47,000 annually; three (3) weeks’ vacation per year of work (pro-rated to hours worked); 9 paid (including stat) holidays, 3 float days; health, insurance, and pension benefits when eligible.
