**Title**: Team Lead - Youth Volunteerism Programs
**Classification**:Full-time, Salary
**Hours**:37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday (with occasional weekend hours)
**Location**:DCDC, Spryfield. Remote work optional after 3 months - minimum 3 days in person with the team per week.

**Program Overview**
The Youth Volunteerism Program involves significant personnel, volunteers, mentors and community partner management. The Team Lead will ensure all relationships are upheld, safety is established and confirmed, and all supports and training are in place and complete. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring requirements of data collection, reporting and other components of the evaluation are met and shared with funder and stakeholders. The Team Lead contributes to the advancement and achievement of the YWCA mission, vision, values, guiding principles, strategic plan, business plan, and departmental plan.
The Team Lead is responsible for the overall supervision and administration of the Youth Volunteerism Program including project development and design, planning, organizing, staffing, evaluation, growing, and risk management of program activities. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all YWCA procedures, policies, and budgets are followed, and ensuring the staff they supervise are in compliance with these procedures and policies in addition to effective leadership and manage
**Role of the Team Lead - Youth Volunteerism Programs**:
- Advance the vision and mission of YWCA Halifax
- Program Management
- Responsible for overseeing the overall coordination and administration of all youth volunteerism related programming, as designated by the Manager
- Responsible for the coordination and administration of the CUSP program
- Responsible for hiring and supervising staff (coordinators, navigators, admin)
- Ensuring all volunteers (mentors and youth) are recruited, trained and all documentation is in place for safe and responsible work.
- Responsible for developing work plans for areas of responsibility, achieving goals/objectives/outcomes, and reporting on results in relation to work plans. Responsible for tracking results of outcomes/outputs, and course correcting as required ensuring achievement of goals/objectives
- Ensures that program activities operate within the polices and procedures of the YWCA, and ensures the development and implementation of appropriate operational/program procedures for designated projects and programs
- Ensures high quality of youth programs for designated projects and programs, and implements a regular and robust program evaluation (meeting both funder and overall organizational needs) to assess the strengths of the program and to identify and assess areas for improvement
- Manages the relationship between YWCA Halifax and community partners.
- Ensures that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and insurance coverage
- Develops and implements appropriate systems to ensure monitoring of designated program activities and tracking towards the stated project/program goals and outcomes
- Maintains appropriate program record-keeping in accordance with YWCA policies and procedures, and confidentiality/privacy policies
- Provides regular program reports to Director within specific reporting schedule using provided templates
- Identifies, reports on, and evaluates the risks associated with the program activities and takes appropriate action to control the risks
- Responsible for ensuring information for narrative reports to funders are delivered accurately, appropriately and within deadlines
- Undertakes research in program areas and best practices to ensure program quality and innovation
- Supports the identification, development, and submission of funding proposal narratives, working closely with the Department Manager and Executive Director
