**Job Profile**:
The Long-Range Shop Scheduler (LRSS) is responsible for overseeing the future 1-24 months of Material Resource Planning (MRP) and Scheduling. The LRSS’s production plan will be load leveled based on supply chain lead time, internal resources available, and delivery deadlines. Their objective to have planning done in advance of active production to reduce potential resource overloads and aid Sales in quoting deliveries on proposals.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the functioning of MRP and Scheduling and maintain within Epicor
- Become an advanced Epicor software user
- Maintain job priority status and forecast late job starts/finishes
- Perform rescheduling of upcoming jobs due to changes on Sales Orders
- Provide feedback on the job release process to ensure material acquisition can proceed with accurate requirements
- Work with Short-Range Shop Schedule in the 3-6 month range on leveling critical resources
- Forecast upcoming shop load (overload/underutilization) and report to management
- Develop and manage what if scenarios (WISA) including projected resource loading management
- Identify and resolve conflicts with sales priorities and scheduling requirements
- Develop and monitor KPIs; report to management
- Provide feedback on Method of Manufacturing (MOM) development
- Identify priority Planning and Procurement tasks based on upcoming sale requirements
- Oversee and direct job closing (split by division/product group)
- Work with Procurement team on audits on outstanding critical purchase orders
- Work collaboratively with inside/outside sales to set appropriate inventory levels
- Daily communication with Assistant Production Manager regarding upcoming schedule risks.
- Weekly Shop Visit’s.
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of manufacturing experience is required
- Capital planning, project management, machining and/or production engineering experience would be an asset
- 2-4 years of production experience is required
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience is an asset
- Project Management certification is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with ERP Systems and MS Project, Office 365
