**Job Description for Production Supervisor**
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager as Production Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of the metal processing operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, equipment efficiency and adherence to delivery schedules.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing production staff, optimizing workflow, implementing procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will be essential in driving success in this role.
The Production Supervisors duties and responsibilities dictate the success of the company by production and safety effectiveness which is directly related to the profitability and success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer requirements and on-time delivery targets.
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure efficient workflow and maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate raw material supply, equipment maintenance, scheduling, quality control and systematic improvements continuously.
2. Staff Management and Retention:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of production employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage employee growth and development.
- Implement strategies to improve staff retention and engagement.
3. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to minimize workplace hazards and accidents.
- Promote a safety culture by providing training, enforcing safety protocols, and addressing safety concerns promptly.
4. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement measures to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various production processes.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
5. Quality Control:
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Address quality issues promptly, implement corrective actions, and develop preventive measures.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
