Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Coordinator will support the organization through a successful rebrand campaign while seeing and implementing all areas of communications both internally and externally during the brand launch and rollout.

Duties of this role include:

- Lead the planning and execution of rebrand content, roll-out and communications strategy.
- Act as main contact for all things Brand, Marketing and Communications.
- Project manage the creation of new brand guidelines and digital assets.
- Facilitate the brand refresh of all major touchpoints (digital, signage, print etc.)
- Work with staff, volunteers and other user groups to maintain the integrity of the new brand.
- Work with creative consultants (design, imagery, writing) to vet and disseminate new creative assets.
- Copywriting, creative asset, and content creation as required.

This is a 6-month hybrid contract position for 32 hours per week. This position is based in our Squamish office.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work in collaboration with staff, Program Managers, the Executive Director and Board of Directors to establish and execute the strategic direction of HSWC.
- Assist with the assessment of the marketing, communications and brand needs of the organization and its programs and services.
- Assist with the development of strategies and related content for digital marketing and advertising campaigns and their implementation.
- Advise team members on marketing, advertising or promotion opportunities and strategies.
- Project Manage graphic design, imagery, writing and strategy consultants.
- Support creation and manage distribution of brochures, newsletters and other materials.
- Coordinate all aspects of production for print, presentations, social content, and digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain social media accounts and calendar.
- Manage website copy/content including web pages, articles, and events, information revision and program descriptions.
- Consult with program teams to establish the overall look and content of communications materials including graphic elements, photography, illustration and typography.
- Manage post-campaign analysis to measure and report on marketing and advertising metrics.
- Review new and existing content and materials for quality, impact, and brand consistency.
- Arrange interviews and assist with creating press releases, media kits and talking points.

**Skills & Experience**
- A university degree, college diploma or certificate in marketing or communications or a related field, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience in related communications, brand and/or marketing position
- Strong ability to write engaging copy for a general audience.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Exceptional eye for creative details.
- Familiar with digital content development.
- Familiar with collecting and analyzing data and adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Proficient public speaker.
- Ability to focus on delivery of targets and goals and articulate how they tie into organizational goals.
- Experience working on a rebranding project is an asset.
- Successful fundraising event planning and execution.
- Experience working with non-profits is an asset.
- Effective grant writing and reporting is an asset.
- Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license is an asset.
