**CLASSIFICATION**: Assistant Dietitian

**DATE OPEN**: Immediately

**POSITION**:0.40 EFT Permanent up to 0.60 EFT Temporary

**HOURS OF WORK**: Tuesday & Wednesday - 15 hours/week

**Primary Focus**:
To assist the Director of Support Services with the provision of nutritional care to residents through nutrition assessments, care plans, evaluation and follow-up.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Registration**
- Bachelor of Science Degree (Human Nutritional Sciences) from a recognized university or approved equivalent
- Completion of accredited dietetic internship
- Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.

**Experience**
- Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience, preferably in a long term care setting - preference given to those with additional experience.

**Expertise**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in the English language, with experience in communicating at a variety of levels including management, staff, residents and families.
- Collaborative working style and able to work both in a team and independently.
- Accomplished writing and computer skills, including use of computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
- Confident and appropriate in working with the elderly, dealing with a variety of individuals facing end-of-life issues.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 22.5 per week
