Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Nutrition Services team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide outpatient medical nutrition therapy. The Registered Dietitian will act as a resource to CancerCare Manitoba programs/committees, develop and deliver educational programs to patients, families, and staff, participate in research, and mentor dietetic interns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients
  • Develop and deliver educational programs to patients, families, and staff
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor dietetic interns
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutritional Sciences
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Manitoba or other provincial RD college/regulatory body
  • Minimum 1 year experience in clinical dietetics
  • Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary model of care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Proficiency with MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Satisfactory employment record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Member of Dietitians of Canada
  • Member of Dietitians of Canada Oncology Network
  • Ability to speak French
