McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, a family-owned funeral services company that has been part of the Calgary community and leader in the funeral services industry for over 120 years, is seeking a dedicated and skilled **Payroll & Benefits Administrator** to join our dynamic and growing team. With 10 locations in the Calgary area and a staff of over 130 amazing people, this role offers plenty of variety in day-to-day tasks, a positive work culture, and a supportive team environment.

**This role is in-office only at our Elbow Drive SW location.**

**Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM**

**Starting wage of $25/hr.**

**What You’ll Do**:

- Enter and verify all information in payroll system
- Ensure accuracy of data by verifying hours worked, missed time, overtime, banked time, and vacation hours
- Process onboarding and offboarding paperwork quickly and efficiently
- Respond to payroll queries in a timely manner while upholding confidientiality
- Track and update files for wage increases and position changes
- Assist in the administration of the company group benefits program
- Track and process all claims for lost time including WCB, short and long-term leaves, leaves of absence, sabbaticals, etc.
- Track and accurately enter data for employee RRSPs and matching savings program
- Assist Human Resources with administrative work as time allows
- Other duties as assigned

**What You Bring**:

- Experience with **Payworks Payroll System** is an asset
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong administrative skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, including Teams, Planner, Excel, Outlook
- Comfortable using Google Docs
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Very strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
- Highly organized
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Positive and empathetic personality
- Professional image and comfortable wearing a company uniform
- Ability to provide a clear background / security check

**What We Offer**:

- Starting wage of $25.00 per hour
- Full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
