Financial Assistant Reinsurance (Student Position)

**Description**:

- Temporary Full Time- Canada Life is a principal player in the financial management and insurance industry. - Assisting in the financial reporting for the International and Reinsurance Division
- Preparing journal entries
- General ledger reconciliations
- Statutory reporting
- Assisting with the month-end and quarter-end processes
- Special projects as required
- Qualifications- Students enrolled in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or Finance are encouraged to apply
- PC skills with a good working knowledge of spreadsheet programs is essential
- Strong organizational skills
- Some exposure to financial reporting is an asset
- Good communication skills required
- Some overtime may be required
- Ability to display responsibility and independence

- $47,700** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.- For student opportunities only- For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.-
