**Key Responsibilities**:
Since 1964, Live to Play Sports Inc. has been Canada’s leading distributor of premium bicycles, parts and accessories, selling over 80 world-class cycling brands. Live to Play Sports also owns and operates several proprietary brands, including Norco Bicycles and Axiom Cycling Gear. Norco Bicycles is a high-performance brand of choice for cyclists around the world. Our head office and Canadian Distribution Centre is in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.
The Planning Manager is responsible for spearheading excellence in demand and supply planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization. This role serves as both a “coach” and a “player” who develops robust inventory plans, oversees levels, and implements corrective measures for forecast errors. As strategic leader, the manager fosters collaboration through S&OP, demand and supply review meetings and integrates innovative supply chain strategies. Responsibilities include leading the team to analyze pipeline reports, recommend product removal strategies, and oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the team.
**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Demand and Supply Planning:
- Build, maintain, and refine demand forecasts for multiple global markets
- Develop comprehensive inventory plans based on organizational or department demands
- Oversee the ongoing review of inventory levels to prevent supply shortages and excess inventory
- Lead demand and supply review meetings to ensure effective coordination and integration with other departments
Analysis:
- Evaluate forecast errors and implement corrective measures as needed
- Analyze the causes of forecast errors and provide insights for future improvements
- Analyze pipeline reports to ensure the proper flow and volume of inventory through the supply chain
- Analyze and provide recommendations on related financial and sales actions
Team and Process Management:
- Drive the S&OP and Open To Buy process alongside other cross-functional leaders
- Recruit, hire and develop staff in demand and supply planning and inventory management principles
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback
**Applicant Should Possess**:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in demand and supply planning, inventory management, and supply chain strategies
- Cycling product knowledge an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, and the MS Office Suite (Word, Power Point)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Ability to work in office (Port Coquitlam, BC) three times a week
**Salary expectations**: $76,800-$105,600 CAD
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $76,800-$105,600 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as, job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
