**What you’ll do**

Contender Logistics is looking for a motivated individual that will be able to help manage an existing book of business. You do not need to have experience in the logistics industry, however, will need to have strong relationship building skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently and manage tasks properly. The role is for an Account Manager, however there will be aspects of new business generation that will be involved in it as well. You will work closely with an experienced sales rep who has generated a book of business already, the two of you will work together to maintain the current book of business, well working to continue to build on the existing one. You will be trained and entrusted to manage a book of business while the account executive makes an effort to prospect and increase business. Talking to clients and ensuring freight is priced properly and transported properly are key to success in the role. Some overlap is expected whereby you may be tasked with helping to generate new clientele as well. Successful teamwork and cooperation with the account executive are critical to the whole team's success. You will also work closely with our operations and customer service departments day to day. Your results will be generated from a combinations of work ethic/consistency and strong customer service skills.

**The Company**

Contender Logistics is a Freight Brokerage that operates throughout North America. As a brokerage, Contender does not handle the physical goods, we simply negotiate the best possible price on behalf of our clients, take a fee for doing so, and ensure that the shipment runs smoothly from A to B. Contender Logistics was founded in February 2019. We are a younger team that come from a variety of different industries/backgrounds, this makes for a corporate culture similar to one of a tech start up. We have shown fast growth in the logistics space with the intentions of continuing to grow at the same pace. Everyone is committed to their roles and the company’s success, however casual dress, consistent office banter, and team lunches make it an enjoyable spot to come in to work each day

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
