Our dog kennel and farm is seeking a summer student to join our team as a Groundskeeper and Farm Assistant. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and eager to learn. As a Summer Groundskeeper and Farm Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our dog kennel and farm, as well as helping with various farm chores. This is a hands-on role that will allow you to develop your skills in areas such as landscaping, animal care, and horticulture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain the grounds of our dog kennel and farm, including cleaning outdoor kennels, sweeping and pressure washing outdoor areas, and removing leaves and debris
- Assist with animal care tasks, such as feeding and watering chickens, ducks, pigs, and turkeys, as well as cleaning their pens and enclosures
- Tend to our gardens, including weeding, planting, and harvesting fruits and vegetables
- Assist with various farm chores, such as moving wood piles, cleaning out the garage, and organizing the shop

Qualifications:

- Interest in animal care, horticulture, and landscaping
- Willingness to work hard and learn new skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working with animals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

**Salary**: From $16.53 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Delhi, ON N4B 2W6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
