We are currently looking for a Home Child Care Consultant and Program Integrity Specialist to join our team of committed professionals. This full-time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Chippewa location in North Bay.
The Home Child Care Consultant and Program Integrity Specialist is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, educational childcare through a contractual agreement between the YMCA and the self-employed providers. They are also responsible for supporting and assessing the supervisors and educators in their day-to-day role pertaining to the delivery of high-quality educational child care programs when it comes to curriculum support and delivery, training and quality assurance. The Home Child Care Consultant and Program Integrity Specialist supports staff to ensure compliancy of the YMCA's Policies, Procedures and Best Practices as well as all legislative requirements set forth by the Ministry of Education, DSSAB/Municipality, Public Health and the local Fire Department

**LOCATION**: North Bay, ON
**RATE OF PAY**: $23.63 - $25.00 per hour
**HOURS**: 40 per week

Major Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and guidance to the providers to ensure the overall health, safety and well-being of the children
- Support and oversee the delivery of the “How does learning Happen”
- Adhere to guidelines/regulations of the Child Care & Early Years Act (CCEYA) as well as all third-party governing agencies such as DSSAB/Municipality, Public Health and Fire Department
- Support and be a liaison for providers, and the parents/guardians of the children and the inclusion support program.
- Ensure the overall health, safety and well-being of all children by conducting regular assessment visits
- Identify all areas of YMCA, Ministry of Education, and Municipal identified non-compliance and follow through with issues until completion working with the Supervisors
- Support and address parent and/or external complaints related to program delivery and overall quality assurance and MOE legislation
- Assist in facilitation of professional development opportunities for providers.
- Review and provide recommendations for the providers’ invoices for payment
- Maintain records and files
- Complete registrations
- Participate on ad-hoc committees as required
- Conduct “orientations” for potential Recruitment of new providers Attend staff training programs and meetings
- Other duties as assigned by the Association

**Qualifications**:

- Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent as approved by the Ministry
- Membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in good standing
- Health assessment from Medical Professional and Immunizations Record (or exemption) as recommended and approved by the local Medical Officer of Health
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR (Level C) *Recognized by the WSIB
- Certification in YMCA Playing to Learn, ‘A Place to Connect’ and/or Healthy Child Development is an asset
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a child and/or youth setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French communication skills considered an asset)
- Ability to protect the confidentiality of all information and communications (oral and written) pertaining to the association, its officers, staff, students, volunteers, the children in our care and their families
- Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
