**Position title**:Infrastructure Administrator, Backup & Storage

**Location**:Montreal (hybrid)

**Reports to**:Manager, Infrastructure Operations & Delivery

Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Operations & Delivery, your primary role as Administrator, Backup & Storage will consist of performing system administration including level 2 support, problem management, proactive management, contribute to solutions implementation and more. As such, your main know-how relates to Storage and Backup, but you will need good knowledge of VMware, Servers & Hyper Converged hardware.

**Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:

- Participate in the day-to-day operations (Backup issues troubleshooting, creating LUN’s, create zonings, etc.);
- Actively participate in the management of changes, the incidents, the problems, and the projects.
- Realize the analysis of the capacity and the tendencies of the backup and storage environments.
- Monitor and report on backup and storage performance.
- Create and maintain proper documentation and procedures.
- Maintain updated performance indicators.
- Improve the availability and the continuity of the environment.
- Be available for rotation on the support 24/7.

**Professional Experience/Qualifications**:

- You hold a college or University diploma in computer science or equivalent.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in administration of backup system & storage environment.
- You have experience with Backup solutions (Commvault) is a plus.
- You have experience with SAN Storage related equipment (HPE 3PAR + Brocade Fiber Switches or Cisco MDS directors + Dell/EMC PowerMax) is a plus.
- You have general knowledge of several computer domains: virtual servers (VMware) and server hardware (HPE & Dell), etc.
- You have knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server (2016+), including the systems of surveillance and planning (scheduling);
- You have knowledge of data base (Oracle/SQL) and SAP is an asset.
- You have general knowledge of Data Center administration;
- You have knowledge and experience with major cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure, would be an asset;
- You have general knowledge of security awareness and ITIL knowledge;
- You have general knowledge as well as experience with DR (Disaster Recovery);
- You have good written and verbal communication skills (French and English);
- You are comfortable and capable of evolving in a 24X7 production environment;
- This position requires availability outside regular business hours (pager rotation).
