The Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care is committed to ensuring the inclusion, well-being, and independence of seniors in Nova Scotia by facilitating the development of policies on aging and programs for seniors across government and through the provision and coordination of strategic planning, support, services, programs and information. This is achieved through leadership and collaboration with partners. With a focus on collaborative primary health care, continuing care, infrastructure, and more, the department is thinking differently about how to plan, fund, legislate and monitor to improve access and service delivery.

**What You Will Do**:
As part of the Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care, you will work with the Senior Data Analyst and System Performance Analysts within the Planning, Policy and Corporate Services team to provide quantitative analysis in four key areas: policy and planning, home and community care, long-term care and workforce planning. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other staff members that are passionate about the work they do and the public we serve. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other teams in the Department to support the goals of Seniors and Long-Term Care. Some of the work you will support is related to:

- Statistical research and program analysis resulting in the development of policy and program options;
- Drafting monitoring and evaluation plans for determining outcomes connected to key departmental initiatives and priorities. You may also support work to develop relevant indicators;
- Completing research and jurisdictional reviews to support Seniors and Long-Term Care in developing new models of care;
- Providing support to projects and initiatives across a variety of work areas and building effective working relationships to achieve results; and
- You may perform other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
This may be the right opportunity for you if you are currently enrolled in an applicable university program like statistics, economics, computer sciences, public administration or an equivalent field.

**Salary Range**: $14.90 - $28.12 Bi-Weekly
