We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Staff Assistant to join our team. We are a medical equipment Clinic and provide our patients with medical equipment and supplies as well as support our patients in the use of this equipment. This position will involve both administrative duties as well as interacting with patients to provide them with the medical equipment and supplies they need. We are a medical supply store and clinic focusing on delivering the best care possible to our patients. In an industry where the patient is treated like a number and an afterthought, we focus on making them a priority so they can get the care they need and feel comfortable talking openly with our staff about everything.

We also make our staff our number one priority, as you cannot deliver great service or care without a great team. We are a small office and must all work well together and management will support you 100% in your learning and development. we also will not tolerate harassing our abusive behavior, and if forced to pick between our patient and our staff will always support our staff because no one should be treated badly in a work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and document preparation
- Assist in managing calendars and scheduling appointments
- Utilize desktop and online software for patient record keeping and document processing
- Conduct proofreading tasks to ensure accuracy of documents
- Managing inventory and confirming accuracy in deliveries received.
- Managing incoming supplies (including incoming office supplies and medical inventory) and putting away inventory.
- Pulling orders for walk-in patients, orders to be delivered and online orders.
- Because this is a new position, the role is still to be completely determined and will involve redefining responsibilities across our team. Your skillset and experience will be considered in this new role so this is exciting for everybody

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar capacity
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. There are some requirements listed in this request for employment outlining what is required to apply, and this is a test for your attention to detail. Applicants who miss these important items will not be considered.
- Comfortable working in both a medical and retail environment
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately
- Experience with phone systems and must be able to handle calls friendly and professionally

**Preferred Skills**:

- Prior experience in working in medical clinics and/or medical retail environments
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and protocols
- Able to perform multiple tasks at once prioritizing those which need immediate attention while still attending to a list of other tasks which can be completed when time permits.
