Ingersoll Products is a small but dynamic manufacturing business dedicated to producing high-quality products. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team.
**Job Summary**
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will oversee the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the handling of materials and products. This role is essential for maintaining inventory levels and supporting our production schedule.
**Shipping Duties**:
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Utilize forklifts to load and unload trucks.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation, coordinating with carriers for timely pickups.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, addressing any issues that arise.
**Receiving Duties**
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy against purchase orders.
- Record and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items to management.
- Safely unload materials and stock items in the appropriate locations in the warehouse.
**Inventory Management Duties**
- Maintain accurate inventory records, updating the system with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock organization to prevent shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure material availability for production needs and assist with reordering supplies as necessary.

**Safety and Compliance**
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling materials and operating equipment.
- Keep the shipping and receiving area organized and clean to promote a safe working environment.
- Perform and maintain forklift review and logbook.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50lbs) and operate forklifts (if/when certified).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
