**Job Description**:
We are looking for a

This role will be responsible for coordination of multiple teams lead by individual project managers. In collaboration with the project managers this role will be responsible for Financial reviews and reporting in alignment with the approved budget.

This role will be responsible for coordination of gating process for the programs and projects under their management including OCC reporting, and initiative brief reporting.

**What you will do**
- Lead efforts across leaders and workstreams to ensure post-merger integration efforts are designed, executed, tracked, and benefits are realized
- Manage a team of project managers, supporting other dedicated workstreams
- Lead strategic program planning based on business goals
- Support Strategy and distribution leadership team to align program with business goals
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, partnering with management in the development of program plans
- Develop and manage an effective delivery network across project Directors and other leaders
- Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to control standards, audit practices, compliance etc.
- Bring best practice approach to ensuring initiatives run smoothly, deliver on time and on budget and deliver expected outcomes
- Oversee various project planning and execution initiatives
- Work with key partners within Canada Life and third-party consultants / vendors / companies, on the successful implementation of corporate methodology in support of planning, delivery and change methodology
- Provide formal/informal leadership to the team to lead them towards the achievement of program objectives
- Provide training and guidance to various cross-discipline resources on project management strategies, methods, processes, tools, approaches & methodologies and where appropriate suggests improvements into overall methodology to PMO
- Define and lead implementation of project management practices, processes, tools and methodologies

**What you will bring**
- 10+ years of Financial Services, integration and acquisition experience
- University or College degree in Business or Project Management
- Project Management (PMP) certification or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to influence multiple senior/executive stakeholders and convey complex technical issues to diverse audiences
- Highly organized with demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership on the development and delivery of large scale projects and transformation work, building plans and managing progress reporting which instill confidence and tracks benefits
- Highly motivated and is passionate about not only project management but the business, technology and user experience, loves to learn and champion new ideas with others, and works with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication skills at all levels including across the team and with Senior Executives
